I’ve spent the majority of my life in this situation.
Having to fake who I truly am juts to “fit in”, having to fake smiles to please others, having to lie to myself because of fear of being my unique self. And to be honest, it drained me for far too long.
With time and some work, i’ve been able to let go of those fears, create those boundaries and believe in who I am. This personal growth has helped me express myself, get out of my comfort zone, protect my energy from others, learn what I need and actually prioritize myself. It’s been a crucial part of my own life journey into who I am today.
